Presented to Antoine “DJ Yella” Carraby, this official RIAA Double Platinum award commemorates over two million units sold of Eazy-Duz-It, the 1988 debut solo album from Eazy-E. Released on Ruthless Records in partnership with Priority, the project was entirely produced by Dr. Dre and DJ Yella—forming the sonic bedrock of what would become West Coast gangsta rap.

At a time when full-length rap albums were still a developing format, Eazy-Duz-It stood out for its cinematic approach: fusing Eazy-E’s aggressive persona and storytelling with funk-laced, high-density production. The album laid the groundwork for N.W.A’s collective sound while proving that an independent label could push an unfiltered vision into the commercial mainstream. Though it debuted modestly, its cultural impact and steady sales drove it to multi-platinum status by the early 1990s.

The framed presentation includes two silver-colored LPs, along with miniature CD and cassette elements, flanking the full album artwork. The RIAA certification plate is personalized to DJ Yella, and his signature appears on the outer display glass in black marker.

Both CD components inside the frame are loose, and one of the platinum LPs—originally mounted at the top left—has become unseated and now rests in the lower left area of the display. Please review images for full condition details.
